Privacy policy
Yardel publishes pages you make and shows them only to the people you choose. This page says what we collect to do that, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and what you can change.
What we collect
- Your account
- Your email address, and your name if you add one. You sign in with a 6-digit code we email you; there is no password.
- What you publish
- The files you upload (HTML, Markdown, images, scripts), version notes, app names, and the settings you choose. When you publish from Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app through our connector, that app sends us the page content and the instructions you gave it (such as who to share with).
- Who you share with
- The email addresses and company domains you share pages with, their role, when their access ends, and access requests people send you.
- Sign-in sessions
- For each device you sign in on: when, the IP address and browser it came from, and a device name, so you can see and end sessions.
- Page views
- When someone opens a shared page: who opened which version, when and for how long, the device type and browser, and the country. We don't store the raw IP address for page views.
- Emails we send
- A record of each invite and notice: its type, when it was sent, delivery status, and a one-way hash of the recipient address.
- Activity log
- A tamper-evident log of changes in your workspace (deploys, shares, removals, rollbacks), so owners can see who did what.
We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't sell or rent personal data. If we measure visits to this website, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies.
Why we use it
- To run the service: sign you in, host your pages, enforce who can open them, and send the invites and notices you ask for.
- To show owners who has access and who has viewed a page.
- To keep Yardel secure: rate limits, scanning uploads for leaked secrets, and investigating abuse.
- To answer you when you write to us.
We don't use your pages or your data to train AI models.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts Yardel and stores its data and files.
- Resend delivers our emails (sign-in codes, invites, notices).
- The AI app you connect (for example Claude or ChatGPT) receives the results of what you ask it to do with Yardel, such as page links and lists of who has access. Its own privacy policy covers what it does with them.
We share data with others only when the law requires it, or to protect people from harm.
How long we keep it
- Pages, versions and sharing settings stay until you delete them or your account.
- Sign-in sessions end after 90 days without use, or when you sign out.
- Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes.
- When you delete your account, we delete your account, workspace and pages within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.
Your choices
- Delete pages, remove people and end sessions at any time in the portal or with the
yardCLI. - Disconnect an AI app from its connector settings. Its access to your Yardel account ends at once.
- Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account by writing to hello@yardel.dev. We answer within 30 days.
- If someone shared a page with you and you'd rather not get their emails, tell us and we'll stop sending to your address.
Children
Yardel is for work and isn't meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and email account owners before it takes effect.
