Yardel docs

Yardel turns what you make with AI (HTML pages, Markdown reports, slide decks, dashboards) into private pages that only the people you name can open. They confirm their email with a 6-digit code; no account or password.

Use Yardel from Claude or ChatGPT

  1. Add the connector. In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. In ChatGPT: turn on Developer mode under Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced, then Create. The URL is https://app.yardel.dev/mcp.
  2. Sign in with the code we email you, then allow access.
  3. Ask in plain words, for example: “Publish this as a private page called q3-report and share it with maya@pancake.studio.”

The AI app asks Yardel to do the work. It can:

publish_page
Publish an HTML page or a Markdown document. Each publish is a new version.
share_page
Give people access by email, or everyone at a company with @company.com. Roles: viewer, commenter, or editor (a collaborator who can publish new versions). Access ends after 30 days unless you pick another date.
unshare_page
Remove people's access, effective within a minute.
set_link_access
Let anyone with the page's secret link open it: after confirming their email, or publicly with no sign-in. Or turn it off.
list_pages
List your pages and their links.
who_has_access
Show who can open a page, with roles and end dates.
list_versions and rollback_page
See a page's versions and make an earlier one live again. Nothing is deleted.
access_requests
See who asked for access, and approve or decline.

To disconnect, remove Yardel in the AI app's connector settings.

Use Yardel from a coding agent or terminal

Install the CLI and the agent skill (Node 20 or later):

npm i -g @yardel/cli
yard skill install # or --agent codex, --agent cursor
yard login

Then ask your agent, or run the commands yourself:

yard deploy report.html --app q3-report
yard deploy notes.md # Markdown becomes a clean page
yard deploy ./dist # a folder or a built project
yard share q3-report maya@pancake.studio
yard share q3-report @pancake.studio --yes
yard unshare q3-report maya@pancake.studio
yard link q3-report signed-in # or public, or off
yard rollback q3-report v2

Every command takes --json, and errors say how to fix them.

What the people you share with see

They get an email from you with a link. They enter their email address, type the 6-digit code we send, and the page opens. They stay signed in on that device for 90 days. If they forward the link, the next person has to ask you for access.

A page can also open for anyone who has its secret link, without naming them. In signed-in mode they confirm their email first and you see who opened it. In public mode there's no sign-in; the page shows a “Public page · Report” link in the Yardel badge, and search engines are asked not to index it. The plain page address stays private in both modes, and turning the link off works at once. Public pages are available once a workspace is a day old.
